How much are they paying you? Can I make you an offer? Azino’s second poetry collection, The Tragedy of Falling with Laughter Stuck in Your Throats, was released in 2019. He is an Osiwa Poetry Residency Fellow and the 2019 Moniack Mhor Poet in Residence. His poems have been translated into Afrikaans, French, German and Mandarin. He has appeared at the Berlin Poetry Festival, Johannesburg Arts Alive Festival, Cape Town Spier International Poetry Festival, Taipei Poetry Festival and the Nigeria Ake Book and Arts Festival amongst others. He was named as one of the most powerful people in the Nigerian art and culture space by Ynaija in 2017. He published his first collection of poetry in 2015 titled For Broken Men Who Cross Often. He is also the director of poetry at the annual Lagos Book and Art Festival. He co-founded West Africa’s first International Poetry Festival in 2015.
